Google loves blog posts. And for good reason. Blog posts are where you can go into the greatest depth on a topic, provide useful information to your reader, and establish yourself as an expert in your field. A blog post also has the benefit of being indexed by Google so that when someone searches for information on a particular topic, your blog post will come up first if it’s relevant to their search. Also, blog posts are much easier to read than long essays or documents with no subheadings. Finally, users are more likely to share blog posts on social media than long essays. Readers love them too! If you’re not already writing blog posts on your site, here are 3 reasons why you should start now:

Establishing yourself as an expert

Blogs are a great way to establish yourself as an expert. If you write about a particular topic and do so regularly, you will become an expert in that field. It takes time, of course. You need to write regularly and consistently on a topic before you can call yourself an expert, but once you do, it’s a really great feeling. You’ll feel great about what you’re writing because you’ll be talking about something you’re knowledgeable about. You’ll feel great about the fact that you’re helping people with their problems. You’ll feel great about the fact that you’re making money from what you’re doing. You’ll also find it easier to create connections with other experts in your niche because you’ll have something in common with them.

The process of writing as an expert comes from a few formats of writing.

These include:

  1. Teaching someone something that you know, but that they do not
  2. Tell a story about what you have observed during your own journey
  3. Presenting a contrarian point of view on a topic you know lots about
  4. Listing tools and resources that can help someone find their own way

Getting better search results

The search engine algorithm is always changing and evolving. What works today might not work tomorrow, so it’s important to stay on top of the latest SEO trends. One of the most important things you can do is create updated, evergreen content that will stay relevant for years. Blog posts are ideal for this because you can write them once and then update them with new information as time goes on. This means that your blog posts will always stay relevant to a search engine because they will always stay relevant to readers. You can even take it a step further by finding related topics that your readers are searching for and creating your blog post around that. This will help you to rank for more keywords.

What are four ways you can write better for Google?

  1. Include what you want to be found for in the title
  2. Make sure that what you want to be found for is in the first paragraph
  3. Write enough about the topic that it shows some level of deep knowledge
  4. Link to other places that back up your opinions and knowledge

Finding related content more easily

If you’re looking for content to link to on your site, you can find ideas for blog posts by searching for topics that your readers are searching for. You can do this with a keyword tool like Google Keyword Planner. These topics can then be turned into blog posts that you can link to from other articles. You can also use these topics to create a hub site that links to your other articles and other content on your site. This will help you to build more internal linking, which is a great way to build up your site and get more links to it.

So what can you do to make this happen?

  1. Link to other articles on your site from each article you write
  2. Link from your articles to your related products and services
  3. Make it easy for people to find out how to find out more or contact you
  4. Optimise your article for people on mobile phones

Something readers will actually enjoy reading

Finally, you need to consider the content that you’re putting out there on your blog. Sure you want it to be helpful to your readers and give them the information they need, but you also want it to be enjoyable to read. You want your readers to come back for more. You want them to share the information with their friends and family. You want them to stay on your site as long as possible. If you’re creating genuinely useful, helpful content, readers will come back for more.

You can make your articles more enjoyable to read by:

  1. Adding personal experiences and stories to the article
  2. Keep sentences short and under 20 words
  3. Keep paragraphs short and under 4 sentences
  4. Keep sections of your article under four paragraphs each
